Earth Day Earth Decade

Earth Hour – Earth Day – Earth Decade

As the world moves closer to the end of the covid pandemic – every indication is that the roaring 2020s will the decade when everything changes.

As this week’s AWESome EarthKind Podcast guest says:  “These next 10 years will decide the fate of civilization. “

Centuries from now, our descendants will look back at the start of the 21st century.

Will they cry in anguish and ask: “WHAT WERE THEY DOING?”

Or – will our childrens’ children say:

“Thank God they did that. Thank God they did that yeoman’s work to displace fossil fuels, rewire America and the world, and move onto the clean energy pathway.”

Earth HOUR was “started by the World Wildlife Fund” (WWF) and its partners as a symbolic lights-out event in Sydney in 2007, and is now one of the world’s largest grassroots movements for the environment. Held every year on the last Saturday of March, Earth Hour engages millions of people in more than 180 countries and territories, switching off their lights to show support for our planet.

But Earth Hour goes far beyond the symbolic action of switching off – it has become a catalyst for positive environmental impact, driving major legislative changes by harnessing the power of the people and collective action.”

Earth Hour is one of the first Earth Day related events this year. Let’s all join together to make it the first hour of the day week, month, year & DECADE of change that we need to create our clean energy future.

Ron Kamen has decades of expertise & leadership in catalyzing exponential change in sustainable energy adoption with communities, governments, non-profits, and businesses.
